When we say a business license, for the most part we think about the Ministry of Environmental Protection, or the Ministry of Health. Why? Because these offices see the business license as a key tool in their ability to carry out enforcement at factories and businesses. The powers granted by the business license legislation are, among else, the authority to issue additional conditions to operate the business. Without a business license it is prohibited by law to start a business and in this situation it puts the company and its directors in danger of criminal charges and of issuing a closure order. In this article, we bring a concise overview on the reforms of recent years, in business licensing legislation and then examined whether the Ministry of Economy granted powers in the area of safety as part of the Business Licensing Law and if so, what the obligations of businesses towards the Ministry of Economy in the context of the Business Licensing Law and how to be prepare for them.
