Industries in the energy, metal, mineral, chemical and other sectors, have to be familiar with the regulations in regards to emission permits under the Clean Air Law. Denial of an emission permit is equivalent to a closure order. Submitting a permit request involves financial cost and the collection of a lot of data. The process starts with choosing the right technology for reducing pollutants and involves work and expense right up until a permit is secured. The article reviews the legal implications of it.
