The Clean Air Law and its Impact on CDM Projects in Israel

International environmental law affects Israel's environmental legislation. In the field of air pollution, important conventions are the Climate Change Convention and the Kyoto Protocol. These international agreements have created economic tools and incentives to help implement them in the form of international trade with air pollutants that cause emissions of greenhouse gases. The article reviews the international conventions, the status of Israel in relation to them and the relationship between them and the Israeli Clean Air Act.
