Natural Gas and Liquefied Petroleum Gas

Natural Gas and Liquefied Petroleum Gas

Natural gas and / or liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) have different uses, for domestic consumption, for commercial and industrial consumption, and for motor vehicles.

These uses are accompanied by many risks of environment and safety that are the long-standing practices of our law firm.

Environmental risks relate mainly to fugitive and specific emissions of natural gas (mainly composed of methane) that is lighter than the air and constitutes a significant and much more effective greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide.

Environmental risks relate mainly to targeted and highly targeted emissions of natural gas (mainly composed of methane) that are lighter than the air and constitute a significant and much more effective greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide.

The use of these gases is subject to a wide range of legislation. Such as the Gas (Safety and Licensing) Law, 1989, which deals with these gases, as well as general legislation on safety and on hazardous substances, including Standards, guidelines and procedures that also have significance in determining the legal responsibility of the companies and their managers.

Gas supply involves work with contractors and external workers whose conduct will largely determine the responsibility of the gas supplier. This responsibility certainly exists for anyone who provides services of installation, supervision and maintenance.

The transportation and storage of gas has many other legal aspects.

We will assist you with framing the necessary legal infrastructure for the ongoing prevention of incidents and mishaps, as well handling internal investigations, following events of accidents, and with legal representation, in the event of a criminal investigation initiated by authorities after accidents that involve bodily harm or damage to property.
