Definition of "disposal" under CERCLA
14.08.2016U.S.A Federal Court of Appeals confirms that CERCLA imposes no liability when hazardous substances travel ('passively migrate') through the air and then “into or on any land or water”. The word "disposal" in the phrase "arrange for disposal" does not include the "gradual spread of contaminants without human intervention."
