Water Scarcity and Policy in the Middle East and Mediterranean
Cornell University Ithaca, New York, U.S.A. 05.11.2011Attorney Tzvi Levinson gave a presentation entitled Shared Resources, Shared Responsibilities: Israel's New Holistic Legal Approach to Waste Water Treatment and Reuse. The presentation focused on new water treatment and reuse legislation in Israel and the implications of its innovations for water management policy. He discussed how the new legislation aimed to improve the fragmented system of water treatment, which involves various players, municipal and commercial, by holding all parties liable for the ultimate outcome of the process as a part of the ultimate goal of providing quality treated effluent for reuse.
